Volunteers are the glue of TYO; they help keep everything together. American interns come as volunteers to lead classes for the women and children of Nablus. TYO’s local volunteers – university students and recent graduates keep everything going. Some of them act as translators for the interns, while others help the students with projects and homework. This results in students getting individual attention, allowing them to develop more skills with confidence.
These photos show some of the many volunteers – both foreign and international – who kindly give their time and energy to help the future generation of Nablus.

Women are an extremely important and crucial part of societies and families. As such, TYO began the Women’s Group in the fall of 2011 in order to further the efforts to empower women and mothers. TYO offers them many classes including subjects such as health, parenting, IT, aerobics and English. Not only do women personally benefit from these classes, but by supporting mothers, their children do as well.
